BART CONFIRMS RECORD RIDERSHIP FOR GIANTS PARADE

Bellow is a statement from BART Chief Communications Officer, Alicia Trost, confirming record ridership!

BART served 511,641 trips on Friday, October 31, 2014- Halloween and the Giants Victory Parade. This figure, which represents the number of revenue generating exits, is the third highest in BART history. The top spot still belongs to the 2012 Giants Victory Parade (Oct 31, 2012) with 568,061 and the second spot goes to the 2010 parade (November 3, 2010) with 522,198.Yesterday’s figures knocked out the previous top third day- August 29, 2013 Bay Bridge closure at 475, 015.To give you an idea of what typical ridership has been for a Friday in October this year, Friday October 17, 2014 came in at 436,669.
