Friday – CRAZY DAY!
We have been on “FAST FORWARD” since I walked in the newsroom. Whereas the place is always buzzing with activity – today is exceptionally busy!
We’re short a couple of people this morning and that means we’re doing a bit MORE with fewer hands to participate.
There are only TWO writers: Steve and Norma. They’re juggling stories and writing copy in OVERTIME. How they manage to shuffle all the pieces so successfully, without missing a beat, deserves to be recognized. #Amazing.
Me? I’m back on EBOLA – the latest patient in the US to test positive for the disease is in NYC. Officials, talking about Dr. Craig Spencer, reiterated the need for calm; stressing, “there is no need to panic. Exposure to those having no direct contact, is infinitesimal.”
Amy is covering SF Giants and Matt is working on a developing story: House Fire in Milpitas. 4 people have been rescued from the roof a burning home. 1 has been taken to the hospital – suffering from burns.
I’ve been doing television since 1999 and I’ve been on-air since 2002.
For the most part, I have many of the same clothes, shoes and ties I’ve purchased from the start.
When it comes to clothing, I’ve never been one to follow fads. As a result, I can pretty much snatch anything off of my rack and I’m ready to go! One of the tricks of being ready for the AM shift, is being prepared in advance. I always lay out my clothes the night before and “prep” my daily apple by giving it a wash and setting it on the counter.
