FOX5’s LIKE IT OR NOT – Italian company introduces new ‘standing’ airplane seat!

If you think economy class on planes is a tight squeeze, wait until you see a new airline seat designed in Italy.

Stephanie Hamill, Guy Lamber, Jim Lokay and I discuss the benefits of The Skyrider 3.0. It is the newest version of an infamous standing seat. It looks similar to a bicycle seat but with back support attached.
The manufacturer says its goal is not to cram more passengers on board but to give them another option that would be called “ultra-basic economy.”
The company said it’s getting some interest, but no orders yet. The seats currently don’t fit the specifications of some common passenger jets.
